【摘要】:TheMicro-Devalabrasiontestisatestofcoarseaggregatetodetermineabrasionlossinthepresenceofwaterandanabrasivecharge.Manyaggregatesaremoresusceptibletoabrasionwhenwetthandry,andtheuseofwaterinthistestincorporatesthisreductioninresistancetodegradationincontrasttosomeothertests,whichareconductedondryaggregate.Thetestresultsarehelpfulinevaluatingthetoughness/abrasionresistanceofcoarseaggregatesubjecttoabrasionwhenadequateinformationisnotavailablefromservicerecords.TheMicro-Devalabrasiontestisusefulfordetectingchangesinpropertiesofaggregateproducedfromanaggregatesourceaspartofaqualitycontrolorqualityassuranceprocess.1.1ThistestmethodcoversaprocedurefortestingcoarseaggregateforresistancetoabrasionusingtheMicro-Devalapparatus.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thetextofthismethodreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthetestmethod.1.4Thisproceduremayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
