【摘要】:Tensiontestsprovidereasonablyaccurateinformationwithregardtothetensilestrengthofadhesives.Tensilestrengthdatamaybesuitableforspecificationacceptance,serviceevaluation,manufacturingcontrol,research,anddevelopment.Tensiontestsarenotconsideredsignificantforapplicationsdifferingfromthetestinrate,direction,andtypeofloading.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftherelativetensilestrengthofadhesivesbytheuseofbar-androd-shapedbutt-joinedspecimensunderdefinedconditionsofpreparation,conditioning,andtesting.Thistestmethodisapplicabletothetestingofadhesiveswithvariousadherendmaterialsineithersimilarordissimilarcombinations.Note18212;AnalternativetestmethodfordeterminingthetensilestrengthofadhesivesisTestMethodD897.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
