【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793establishesuniformrequirementsformeasuringthemacrobendinglossofsingle-modefibres(categoryB)at1550nmor1625nm,categoryA1multimodefibresat850nmor1300nm,andcategoryA3andA4multimodefibresat650nm,850nmor1300nm,therebyassistingintheinspectionoffibresandcablesforcommercialpurposes.Thestandardgivestwomethodsformeasuringmacrobendingsensitivity:?MethodA–Fibrewinding,pertainstocategoryBsingle-modefibresandcategoryA1multimodefibres.?MethodB–Quartercirclebends,pertainstocategoryA3andA4multimodefibres.Forbothofthesemethods,theopticalpowerismeasuredusingeitherthepowermonitoringorthecut-backtechnique.MethodsAandBareexpectedtoproducedifferentresultsiftheyareappliedtothesamefibre.Thisisbecausethekeydifferencebetweenthetwomethodsisthedeployment,includingthebendradiusandamountoffibrethatisbent.ThereasonforthedifferenceisthatA3andA4multimodefibresareexpectedtobedeployedinshortlengthswithrelativelyfewerbendscomparedtosingle-modeandcategoryA1multimodefibres.Inthefollowingtext,the“curvatureradius”isdefinedastheradiusofthesuitablecircularshapedsupport(e.g.mandrelorguidinggrooveonaflatsurface)onwhichthefibrecanbebent.
